Josie Thurston-Watson is a seasoned management analyst with over 20 years of experience in the federal government. Professionally, Josie has dedicated her career to program management and enhancing organizational efficiency and effectiveness throughout her federal service.

Josie has a strong commitment to her community and faith. Her approach to every situation is to leave things in a better place than she found them. Josie served on the Phyliss Wheatley YWCA executive board and currently offers notary services to DC residents free of charge. Josie also serves on the Tenth Street Baptist Church Budget Committee and, prior to that, served on the Media Ministry. In 2018, Josie began working with the Baptist Convention of DC & Vicinity, providing registration support during the annual conferences.

While serving her community and in her faith-based efforts, Josie leans on a favorite scripture, Hebrews 13:2, "Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it."
